Ahhh... the day has finally come when we can say "He's here!" After 9 months of waiting, our bundle of joy has arrived. William Leroy Baumann was born on October 4 at 11:58 a.m. He was a big boy, weighin gin at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21.5 inches long. No wonder my ribs felt bruised when he was in there! The delivery was more than perfect. Big brother Sean was dropped off at daycare a little earlier than normal (around 6:45 a.m.) and we were to the hospital by 7 a.m. A short while and an epidural later, baby Will was here. If any of you know the story of Sean's birth, this delivery seemed like a walk through the park. It was such a joy to be lucid during birth!

Let me just say that we are soooo blessed to have two healthy boys that enrich our lives every day. Sean doesn't really seemed to be too phased by the whole event. All he knows is that when the baby cries during his Saturday morning cartoons, he's not too thrilled. But none the less, he has been a real trooper. Baby Will has been really, really good. He cries only when he needs to be fed, or there is something wrong (tummy ache, wet, etc). Which is quite the change for me since Sean cried none stop pretty much all the time. I am hoping that this keeps up. I have actually gotten in a short nap today and feel pretty energized. Huh. Who would have known that I could take a nap during the day. Wonders never cease.
Will had his first check-up today, and Dr. Gervias said he looks wonderful. Good to hear. I even made it to the store for diapers (forgot how many those little guys go through... holy cow!). He is such a gem. We love him so much already.
Well, I must be going. The well wishes and visits we have gotten are much appreciated.

Chat again soon. I'll also be posting other items of interest here. Including all the adventures that Sean gets into on a DAILY basis. What a ham that kid is. This is going to be fun I tell ya. :)
