First things first... Will is officially 4 weeks old today! He is getting so big. Unfortunately, however, his little body doesn't exactly want to grow as fast as he is. He has the same tummy trouble Sean had. We now know that it isn't just "colic", but infant acid reflux. Can you imagine how it must feel for our little guy to have that awful burning all the time? Oh, I just feel so bad for him. He can barely sleep because he spits up so frequently, and he can't eat very much at a time because his tummy pushes the acid up his throat. We called the doc on Monday, and he's on a prescription, which should help in a few days to a week. We are really hopefully that this will help him. Cross your fingers for us.
Now, on to the fun stuff! Halloween has long been a favorite holiday of mine. Ask anybody who knows me. So, hopefully I can pass that on to the boys. So far, Sean has been cooperative for the most part! Although last night's outing was shorter than we had hoped. We bundled up and got in the van, all 4 of us. Will sleeping in my lap (we just made the rounds in the neighborhood... no Britney Spears-driving-with-the kid-in-lap incident, no worries), Sean and Trent made their way to the doors, rang the door bell, and people were greeted by a roaring spider. Yes, in the Baumann house, spiders make a lot of noise. They actually sound a lot likes bears. Sean got a pumpkin bucket about 1/4 full of candy and announced he was ready to go home. Trent was bummed. I think we were having just as much fun as Sean... probably more since we wanted to keep going and he was done with the whole evening in about 1/2 an hour flat. So on we went back home, where we had the "honest policy" bowl of candy waiting on our front bench outside. Pumpkins glowing, all the lights on. AND NOT ONE PIECE OF CANDY GONE. Trent managed to wave down one trick-or-treater and piled him full of goodies, but i think that's all we had. One stinkin' kid. Ah well. So now we sit with 13 individually (cutely) wrapped bags of candy in a halloween bowl. And I get to sit at home all day and stare at that candy. It's pure evil in a bowl. I'm sure Trent will hide it again when he gets home, as it has been for the past week. He knows me too well, and my love of all things sweet.
So here are photos of the boys. Will didn't go all out this year, seeing as how he wasn't feeling the greatest, but we did manage to get on the pumpkin hat from Grandma Gail. Wait till next year. Those kids won't know what hit 'em! Woo-hoo!
(Again, this site isn't letting me load my pictures... I'll post more of Sean Spidey when it lets me...)
