Hi everyone and hope you're having a wonderful Christmas time! I've got my shopping done, cookies baked (and almost all eaten already, with a little help from my baking partner, Sean), presents wrapped, and we're going to see Santa tonight! Look for those photos shortly.

Well, I am almost done with maternity leave. I am really sad about that. Will has been such a joy. Although I know he will be in good hands with Kathy (our daycare), it's just not that same as being with Mom. Or maybe it is, but I like to think that I've got a special touch that nobody else does. I had a good cry this weekend over the whole thing, and it felt good to get it out. My boys mean everything to me, and I really, really, really miss them every minute of the day. A friend of mine told me yesterday that the reason we feel so exhausted at the end of the day is because we put forth a lot of effort into parenting. It would be easy to ignore your children or pawn them off on relatives, but we decide to PARENT. And because we have precious little time with them— after work, on weekends— we really exert a lot of energy into playing, reading, holding them...

Ok, well, anyway, I really need to get back to work. ( I am doing some work from home these last couple of weeks before I go back.) Hope you enjoy the photo of the boys, and look back soon to see the Santa photos!
